Some organizations are built to do business. Some movements are born to create change.
Harit Sansar belongs to the latter.
Founded on 23 January 2026, Harit Sansar is a people-led environmental movement established by Rajeev Singh, Founder & Director of Sansar Green Mission Pvt. Ltd., with a mission to inspire every citizen to plant, protect, and preserve trees for future generations.
What makes Harit Sansar unique is the story behind its name.
A Mother’s Legacy Lives On
The word “Sansar” is derived from the name of Maa Sansar Devi, the late mother of Rajeev Singh. Her life was built on values of compassion, simplicity, hard work, and selfless service. To honor her memory and transform her values into a lasting contribution to society, Rajeev Singh established Harit Sansar on the 33rd anniversary of her passing.
For him, Harit Sansar is not just an environmental initiative—it is a tribute to a mother’s legacy and a promise to leave a greener world for future generations.
From Commercial Plantation to a People’s Movement
For more than two decades, Rajeev Singh has worked in landscaping and environmental development, contributing to the commercial plantation of over 50 lakh trees across India through government, institutional, industrial, and private projects. His experience includes work on projects associated with Rashtrapati Bhawan, Eco Park, Patna, and numerous landmark green developments.
These years of experience led to one realization: environmental conservation cannot depend only on governments or organizations. It becomes successful when people themselves become the custodians of nature.
That realization gave birth to Harit Sansar.
More Than Plantation
Harit Sansar believes that planting a tree is only the beginning. The real mission is to ensure that every tree survives, grows, and benefits society.
The movement promotes:
- Community plantation drives
- Fruit tree plantation
- Biodiversity conservation
- Environmental awareness
- Climate action
- Water conservation
- Green schools and institutions
- Sustainable livelihoods
- Citizen participation
- Rural development
Its flagship initiative, “Five Mango Trees for Every Family,” encourages every household to plant fruit-bearing trees that provide environmental, nutritional, and economic benefits for decades.
Connecting Nature with Agriculture
Harit Sansar complements Rajeev Singh’s agricultural vision of “Mitti Se Mandi” (Soil to Market).
Healthy soil produces healthy crops. Healthy trees strengthen ecosystems. Prosperous farmers build prosperous communities.
Through Sansar Green Mission Pvt. Ltd., the Mitti Se Mandi model integrates soil testing, sustainable farming, biofertilizers, AI-enabled agriculture, farmer training, value addition, and market linkages. Harit Sansar extends this vision by bringing environmental conservation into everyday community life.
A Movement for Every Citizen
Harit Sansar is not limited to farmers or environmentalists.
It welcomes students, women, youth, professionals, institutions, volunteers, and families who believe that every tree planted today is an investment in tomorrow.
The movement encourages every citizen to become a guardian of nature and actively contribute to building cleaner cities, greener villages, healthier ecosystems, and a climate-resilient India.
Looking Ahead
The long-term vision of Harit Sansar is to become one of India’s largest citizen-led environmental movements by inspiring millions of people to plant and protect trees.
With the support of communities, educational institutions, businesses, volunteers, and environmental partners, Harit Sansar aims to create a nationwide culture of environmental responsibility.
Our Mission
